Racing trainer bitten by one of world’s deadliest snakes on course lives to tell tale

A racehorse trainer has survived getting bitten by one of the world ’s deadliest snakes. Don Dwyer was carrying out a routine walk of the racecourse at Yea, north of Melbourne in Australia , on Wednesday ahead of its season opener on Saturday. But he did not get very far as his excursion was abruptly halted when he encountered a three foot long Eastern brown snake near the entrance to the parade ring. The reptile is extremely venomous and considered the world’s second most venomous snake. Dwyer
