Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas is at the center of the fight over Trump’s ambitious tax bill. He is demanding big cuts to federal government spending if Congress wants to extend Trump’s multi-trillion dollar tax cuts and implement other new tax reductions, like no tax on tips and no tax on social security benefits for seniors.
