Singapore will set up a National AI Council to steer its artificial intelligence agenda. Chaired by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, the council will commission targeted AI missions to transform key sectors of the economy. Mr Wong said Singapore must harness AI well for it to become a strategic advantage for the country. He also stressed that workers will not be left behind. A new programme, called Champions of AI, will provide tailored support to each company, including workforce training.
