The A1 has been forced to close in both directions following a three-vehicle crash which saw a car mounting the pavement and smashing into a café earlier this morning. The road shut following the crash, which took place at around 7.45am this morning. Three vehicles appear to have been involved in the crash, with the scene taped off by police and debris scattered across the road.
