BRICS leaders have condemned the recent strikes on Iran and called for Israel to withdraw troops from the Gaza Strip. The group released a joint statement on Sunday, the first day of their summit in Brazil. The BRICS bloc, named for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, recently expanded to add Indonesia, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Egypt as members.
