The last quarter of 2025 was dominated by the effort of the Government led by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan to keep Romania on the deficit path negotiated with Brussels and to avoid slippages that could have pushed public finances into a systemic risk zone. And this resulted in a good budget execution at the end of last year, which recorded a deficit of 7.65% of Gross Domestic Product, almost 1% lower than the one negotiated during the year with the European Commission. If the third quarter meant
