US limits TSMC chipmaking tool shipments to China

WASHINGTON President Donald Trump 's administration has revoked Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC 's authorization to export U.S. chipmaking equipment to China without a license, further restricting access to U.S. technology in the country.
