French President Emmanuel Macron urged the European Union to step up pressure on Israel over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Speaking in a marathon interview on broadcaster TF1, the French leader also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “unacceptable” and “shameful” behavior in blocking aid to the Palestinians in Gaza.
