Instagram and Facebook DOWN as users can't post comments or load social apps

A major social media outage has caused Facebook and Instagram to go down for several users who say they're unable to open the apps this afternoon. Hundreds of complains have flooded downdetector, with the majority of problems focused on Instagram comments not loading and users being unable to post.
