Aldi has issued an urgent "do not eat" warning for one of its own private-label ice creams as the supermarket giant scrambles to pull it from shelves. The allergy alert states: "Aldi is recalling Gianni’s Cheeky Monkey Ice Cream because it contains undeclared wheat (gluten) which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat (gluten)." The affected product has a best-before date of August
