Florida lawmakers searching for solutions to skyrocketing property tax bills in the state are considering offering certain homeowners an annual rebate of $1,000 for the next five years. Under a new bill sponsored by Republican state Representative Jeff Holcomb, some homestead property owners would receive a total of $5,000 in property tax rebates between 2026 and 2030. To qualify for eligibility, homeowners must receive a homestead exemption on properties valued between $100,000 and $450,000.
