One of the best-loved shows in British television history is to end later in 2026 after a run of 63 years. ITV ’s documentary series 7 Up will conclude with an “epic and moving” last instalment as the remaining characters from the original 14 reach the milestone age of 70. The films, which first aired in 1964, followed children from different backgrounds over their entire lives, checking in with them every seven years. It was feared that it would end when the director Michael Apted , who had
