On his first TV show, Schitt’s Creek , he helped create one of the most indelible sitcom moms of all time: Catherine O’Hara ’s Moira Rose, a former actress accustomed to the trappings of wealth who, along with her family, loses her money and has to move to a small town. Her drawl, verbosity, and avant-garde black-and-white outfits were immediately embedded in popular culture; O’Hara won an Emmy for the role.
