Irish football's governing body has approved a resolution to call on UEFA to suspend Israel and its club sides from European competitions. Saturday's ballot of Football Association of Ireland (FAI) members - which was carried by 74 votes to seven with two abstentions - was to submit a formal resolution to European football's governing body calling for the ban over alleged violations of UEFA rules.
