Oil prices edge down as risk premium fades after Gaza deal

LONDON :Oil prices declined on Friday, after settling around 1.6 per cent lower in the previous session, as the market's risk premium faded after Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a plan to end the war in Gaza. Brent crude futures were down 33 cents, or 0.5 per cent, at $64.89 a barrel at 0835 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was down 24 cents, or 0.4 per cent, to $61.27.
