It's hard to believe it, but we're past the halfway mark of the 2020s. As we look back on the movies that have defined this decade, one film that's a nostalgic sequel to an '80s classic is held up as one of the best. With Top Gun: Maverick, it goes to show that some things are timeless — people love a good Tom Cruise action flick. Fans of the original were also reunited with Maverick's former rival Iceman (Val Kilmer). Sadly, the movie was Kilmer's final performance before his death in 2025.
