A phinisi — a traditional sailboat from South Sulawesi — sank after being struck by strong winds in waters off Serangan in South Denpasar, Bali, on Dec 27. No casualties were reported. Authorities said the anchored vessel tilted to the left in sudden gusts, causing it to eventually sink.
