A Singaporean family's mangrove tour in Bintan turned into a fight for survival when one of three speedboats carrying them capsized in heavy rain on May 31. There were 10 people on board, including a tour guide and the boat operator. The passengers were trapped beneath the overturned vessel before managing to escape. They then had to cling to mangrove trees for about an hour before another speedboat returned to rescue them. All survived with minor injuries, but the family has since raised
