Wrexham star James McClean is undergoing medical checks after being involved in a car crash. The former Republic of Ireland international is understood to have been driving to training in his Audi RS6 just before 9am this morning when the incident occurred close to Wrexham Golf Club. Eyewitnesses said the 35-year-old's vehicle appeared to be written off in the collision which has occurred a day before the Welsh side are due to take on Birmingham City in a crucial promotion clash in League One.
