“ Twisted Metal ” has been renewed for Season 3 at Peacock , Variety has learned. In addition, Michael Jonathan Smith — who co-created the series and has served as showrunner for the first two seasons — will be exiting the show. David Reed will board the series as showrunner and executive producer for Season 3 under an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. “Twisted Metal” Season 2 debuted on Peacock in July. The series stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa and Will Arnett.
