Thousands of Samsung workers will receive a bonus of about £300,000 ($400,000) each off the back of the AI boom. A new profit-sharing agreement will see 78,000 chip workers share a bonus worth 10.5% of semiconductor operating profits, with the bonus set to be largely paid in stocks. It comes after the pay deal was agree on Wednesday following a five-month dispute between the Korean teach giant and labour union. The union said 74% of the 62,616 workers who cast their votes had backed the deal.
