Keir Starmer has been urged to treat Labour's by-election nightmare as a "wake up call" after the Greens pulled off a major upset in a seat it has held for nearly 100 years. Labour was relegated to third place in Gorton and Denton as Green candidate Hannah Spencer stormed to victory with 14,980 votes - a majority of 4,402.
