Pony AI aims to produce lower-cost vehicles by 2027, eyes overseas markets

The head of Chinese autonomous driving firm Pony.ai says the key components for large-scale robotaxi deployment are largely in place, as it pushes for commercial adoption of the technology. The company has announced upgrades to its core artificial intelligence model and expects to produce lower-cost driverless vehicles by 2027.
