South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix joins the market's rapidly growing $1 trillion club

South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix became the latest company to join the elite stock market club of companies worth more than $1 trillion. The chipmaker's share price closed up by over 9% on Wednesday to reach 2,243,000 Korean won per share, or roughly $1,500. This, in turn, gave SK Hynix a market capitalization of just over $1 trillion, or around 1,500 trillion Korean won. SK Hynix's share price is up more than 230% so far in 2026, and is 1,000% higher on Wednesday than at the same point in 2025.
