The “Top Gun: Maverick” filmmaker will direct the adaptation of the hit 80s TV series Break out your white blazers and pastel shirts. Universal’s upcoming film “Miami Vice” based on the hit 80s TV series and directed by “Top Gun: Maverick” and “F1” director Joseph Kosinski will be released on August 6, 2027. Dan Gilroy, who just won an Emmy for his work on the “Star Wars” series “Andor,” will write the script with two-time Oscar nominee Eric Singer. Kosinski will produce with Dylan Clark.
