Almost 200 schools in England and Wales have been closed today after snow hit parts of the UK. This includes 130 school closures in Wales, 50 in the West Midlands, and 19 in Derbyshire. The freezing weather and ice has also led to disruption on the roads and rail services, with trains cancelled and accidents on the roads being reports. Yellow weather warnings for snow and ice are in place for northern Scotland , northern England, and parts of Northern Ireland, the Midlands and north-east Wales.
