As U.S. President Donald Trump threatens tariffs upon tariffs, businesses, consumers and policymakers are scrambling to figure out how to respond. Some analysts say bolstering Canada’s right to repair could help if U.S. tariffs are imposed. Anthony Rosborough, the co-founder of the Canadian Repair Coalition, says that particularly agricultural and medical equipment face a lot of ‘repair restrictions.’ Rosborough says ‘repair is a local effort’ that would help the Canadian economy.
