Discover the UAE Pavilion which draws its inspiration from the Emirati date palm, integrating agricultural date palm waste with Japanese woodworking expertise. Designed by Earth to Ether Design Collective, the UAE Pavilion is informed by traditional Emirati architecture, called areesh, usually constructed from palm fronds and tree trunks. Each of the 90 columns was made out of agricultural date palm waste, supported by encircling steel rings. The date palm waste was locally sourced from farmers
