Bitcoin extended losses on Monday as the world's biggest cryptocurrency fell below $80,000 for the first time since April 2025. Bitcoin was trading at $77,494.65 at 05:43 a.m. ET on Monday, according to CoinMetrics. Bitcoin fell as low as $74,876 but later pared some of the losses. The digital coin has fallen about 12% in the last seven days, wiping off more than $200 billion in value from the bitcoin market, CoinMarketCap data shows.
