A man who led police on a high-speed pursuit reaching 140mph through Yorkshire has been jailed after his car became airborne and crashed. Ashley Parr, 35, was driving a BMW 3 Series “erratically” along the A64 and A1(M) on 21 July last year before striking a roundabout near Lumby, sending the vehicle into the air. Parr admitted dangerous driving, drink-driving and drug-driving. York Crown Court sentenced him to 16 months in prison and banned him from driving for three years and eight months.
