Non-performing loans up to 2.54pct in end-September, according to central bank

The non-performing loan rate went up to 2.54% at the end of September 2024 from the 2.49% recorded in June. In September 2023, the non-performing loan rate was 2.61%, according to data centralized by the National Bank of Romania (BNR). At the end of the third quarter of this year, there were 32 credit institutions in Romania, of which eight were branches of foreign banks.
