Health authorities are monitoring the recent rise in COVID-19 cases. They say that periodic waves of infection are to be expected, like other endemic respiratory diseases. More than 14,000 cases were detected from Apr 27 to May 3. This is a rise from about 11,000 cases in the previous week.
