A Brit couple's dreams of retiring in Spain have been left in tatters after a series of events which have left them homeless and semi-squatting. Paula and Rob Briers moved to Benidorm in 2020, having seen their plans of relocating in Granada go up in smoke due to the first Covid lockdown. The couple, aged 52 and 60 respectively, had been working at an Amazon warehouuse in Coalville, Leicestershire, when they opted for a peaceful retirement in the sun.
