CRA seeks $10B in COVID-related benefit payments

According to data from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), about $14 billion in COVID-related benefits was given to individuals that the agency says — upon review — were ineligible because they didn’t meet income requirements. Most funds were given under the Canadian emergency response benefit (CERB) or Canada recovery benefit (CRB) during the pandemic.
