Long jail terms for Hong Kong trio behind COVID-19 border bomb plot

HONG KONG: A Hong Kong judge ordered lengthy prison terms on Monday (Oct 27) for three men found guilty of plotting bomb attacks aimed at forcing the city's government to close its borders early in the COVID-19 pandemic. The trio were part of a group charged in relation to a homemade bomb that went off in a hospital toilet in January 2020, and explosive devices found at a railway station the following month. The two incidents caused no casualties. The men were convicted last month of conspiracy
