Singaporeans' life expectancy has risen for the second straight year. It rose by nearly 11 months over the last decade to 83.5 years. This is according to data compiled by the Department of Statistics. The increase follows a dip between 2020 and 2023, when mortality rates went up due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
