A federal three-judge panel on Wednesday cleared North Carolina to use a newly redrawn congressional map crafted to flip a Democratic-held seat as part of President Donald Trump’s multistate redistricting push ahead of the 2026 elections. The map targets the state’s lone swing district, represented by Democratic Rep. Don Davis, an African American lawmaker whose 1st District has had continuous Black representation for more than three decades. Judges denied requests for a preliminary injunction
