On Friday the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced to the public, following their selection by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. President Donald Trump has received a number of nominations and support for receiving the prize, including from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as the governments of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Rwanda and Cambodia. In late September Trump told top American generals and admirals it would be “a big insult to our country” if he doesn’t win the prize.
