The BBC has confirmed a non-executive director has quit. It's believed that Shumeet Banerji quit his position at the corporation over "governance issues" at the top of the BBC. He said in a letter he was "not consulted" about the news surrounding the departures of Director General Tim Davie and BBC News chief executive, Deborah Turness.
