What Markwayne Mullin Has Said About ICE, Immigration, Border Security

President Donald Trump nominated Senator Markwayne Mullin , an Oklahoma Republican, on Thursday to replace Kristi Noem as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Trump said Mullin is expected to take over the role on March 31, pending Senate confirmation. He would follow Noem’s tenure, which had faced scrutiny over DHS immigration enforcement tactics, including the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, by federal agents in Minneapolis in January.
