School headteacher apologises after 'ban the hijab' sign put up in playground for ‘art project’
The head teacher of a secondary school has apologised after a "ban the hijab" sign was erected in the school's playground as part of an "art project". Richard Paul, headteacher of Greatfields School in Barking, East London , condemned the sign as an "ill-judged" decision made by a Year 10 student.
