March 24 (UPI) -- Double Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali has joined the HBO drama, Task , for Season 2. Deadline said Ali will play Eddie Barnes, a DEA agent, who crosses paths with Mark Ruffalo 's FBI Agent Tom Brandis in Philadelphia. Season 1 show-runner Brad Ingelsby is returning to pen and executive produce the second season, but no story details have been revealed yet. The first season saw Tom and his team investigating the violent robberies of drug stash houses by outlaw motorcycle gangs.
