India keeps interest rates on hold despite growth dip

NEW DELHI India 's central bank left interest rates unchanged on Dec. 6 after judging inflation risks to outweighed concerns over a growth slowdown in the world's fifth-largest economy. The Reserve Bank of India said the benchmark repo rate, the level at which it lends to commercial banks, would stay at 6.5 percent, where it has been since February 2023.
