Italy's public debt fell to 3.080 trillion in September

Italy's public debt fell to 3.0809 trillion euros in September, 0.4 billion lower than in August, the Bank of Italy said on Friday. The central bank said the drop was driven by a decrease in Treasury's liquid assets of 26.7 billion, to 45.4 billion, which was partially offset by the government's borrowing requirement of 26.1 billion and "the effect of issuance and redemption discounts and premiums, the revaluation of inflation-indexed securities and the change in exchange rates (0.2 billion)
