Romania’s economy sees modest 0.3% growth in first half of 2025

Romania’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 0.3% in real terms in the first half of 2025 compared with the same period of last year, according to provisional data released on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). On a seasonally adjusted basis, the economy expanded by 1.4%. In the second quarter of the year, GDP advanced by 0.3% as unadjusted data compared with Q2 2024, and by 2.1% when adjusted for seasonality. Compared with the first quarter of 2025, GDP was 1.2%
