Unemployment rate drops to 6pct in January, while youth unemployment stays high, at over 28pct

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 6% in January, down 0.1 percentage points compared with December 2025, while youth unemployment remains at a high level of 28.2%, according to data the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Wednesday.
