Kenyans will be voting in a general election in 2027, and the country’s youth are already mobilizing online, just as they did when street protests engulfed the country in 2024 and 2025. A new initiative has been encouraging young people to register on the electoral roll. Called ‘Niko Kadi’ it means ‘I have my card ready’ - ready to cast their ballot.
