The Italian economy has shown "significant resilience" during the shock experienced since 2019, but "more recently, momentum waned" amid a deteriorating geopolitical landscape, U.S. tariffs, and the difficulties of the German economy, Bank of Italy Governor Panetta said Friday as he presented his "Concluding Remarks" on central bank's annual report for 2025.     "Domestic demand has been held back by modest growth in disposable income, reflecting the loss of purchasing power in wages," he said.
