Romanian tennis player Patricia Tig won the women's singles title at the W35 Istanbul ITF tournament in Istanbul, prize money USD 25,000, on Sunday, after defeating Turkish Ayla Aksu in the final 6-3 7-6 (7/4). Fourth seed Tig, 30, world number 274, prevailed in an hour and 45 minutes over fifth seed Aksu.
