Aldi no longer cheapest UK supermarket as rival knocks it off top spot

Lidl has beaten Aldi to be crowned cheapest supermarket by Which? for the second time in recent months. A shopping list of 70 items at Lidl came to £120.46 on average in October, or £120.38 for members of its loyalty scheme Lidl Plus. The price of an identical shop at Aldi cost £121 on average. Aldi has been named cheapest supermarket 22 times in the last 24 months, according to Which? analysis.
